It's said often, but it's really true how "small" of a city St. Louis feels like sometimes. Everybody seems to be connected by only a few degrees of separation. I met Nicole for the first time a couple years back when she was a bridesmaid in a (ridiculously fun) wedding I shot. The bride was a co-worker of Forbis', and it also turns out that Nicole and Forbis have known each other for many years - they both grew up and went to school in the Ballwin area. So funny that we were all connected in a few different ways.
This was our first time really meeting Ryan, and it became apparent very quickly that these two are the perfect match. They are both funny, outgoing, and outdoorsy. We were all laughing not even 5 minutes into the session and didn't stop the entire time, ha!
A colorful session seemed really fitting for these two - we started at the graffiti wall downtown. I love this area because the murals are always changing. This time we stumbled upon the COOLEST portrait of Bowie. It turns out that Ryan is a big fan so it kinda seemed like fate! For the last half of the session we headed to Forest Park, which was overflowing with high school students getting prom photos taken. But we still managed to get some images by the always beautiful Grand Basin, and also took advantage of some of the spring blooms. And of course, the perfect ending to any engagement session - champagne :)
We had so much fun with Nicole and Ryan, and we know their wedding this fall is going to be an absolute blast. Keep scrolling to see some of their images!
