There are so many things I want to say about the Beck family, but I will try to keep it short. Danielle and her family came into my life several years ago when their oldest daughter was just 9 months old. I think we both noticed pretty much right away that our personalities just clicked, and our relationship went rather quickly from just "photographer & client," to being colleagues (Danielle is a photographer too), and then to developing a friendship outside of the photography world. I'm lucky to have her as a friend, and so grateful that she has trusted me to document many moments for her as they have gone from a family of 3, to a family of 4, and now to a family of 5.
This day was incredibly special for the Beck family. Not only did their youngest daughter get baptized, but Dave and Danielle decided to get re-married within the church. If you know me, you know I am not particularly religious, but man...this day really got me. The baptism was unlike others that I've attended in the past, where there are several families with their babies in sort of an "assembly line" style. Instead, the church was reserved for just this family alone, which made the ceremony feel so intimate and special. My favorite part was when each person came up and gave a blessing to baby Elliott. Dave and Danielle went through a lot of heartbreak in order to complete their family, so this was a very emotional moment for everyone in attendance. Baby Elliott is so very loved, and so lucky to have many wonderful people in her life.
I was honored to capture this day for the Beck family. Please scroll on to see their images.
