A lot of photographers don't like photographing a friend's wedding. Well - I might be in the rare minority that actually loves it. I've known Jaimie for about 4 years now. She and I shared a studio space with Jacob Loafman, so it only made sense that he and I document Jaimie and Mike's wedding day. Let me just say - this day didn't feel like "work" at all. We drank mimosas together and laughed together and rode in a limo together and made awesome photos together and acted like idiots on the dancefloor together (below you'll see what happens when you let a bunch of wedding photographers loose at a reception, ha!). It was SUCH a good day. Jaimie and Mike chose to keep things simple by getting ready together at home, foregoing a wedding party, and having a tiny ceremony with their parents as witnesses. The day ended with a taco bar and a dance party at Old Bakery Brewery in downtown Alton. Everything felt intimate and stress-free and special.
Jaimie and Mike - thank you so much for including me in your wedding. Love you both so much!
