Katie + Peter | Classic St. Louis City Wedding

The most difficult part about blogging weddings isn’t editing or narrowing down images to share, it’s attempting to gather a lot of really good feelings and put them into words. I don’t consider myself to be a great writer, so this is sometimes hard for me. We cannot stress enough how lucky we feel to have a job that puts us in touch with such awesome people. You know how sometimes you meet someone and immediately you just know “this is my kind of person?” That’s how it was with Katie and Peter when we met them in Kansas City last fall for their engagement session. We got to hang out with them after the session and chat, and we really just love this couple. We had been anticipating their wedding all year and it was such a great day.

Here are just a couple of examples of how thoughtful and sweet Katie + Peter are:

1.) Their wedding happened to be on my birthday. There was a guest who also had a birthday that day, and Katie and Peter arranged to have candles on their wedding cake while everyone sang Happy Birthday to the two of us. Honestly, I was so touched by this.

2.) Katie’s parents celebrated their wedding anniversary the day before. Instead of kicking off the dancing with their own first dance song, Katie and Peter surprised her parents by playing their wedding song and having them dance for the first song of the night. I may have cried behind my camera a little.

I also have to give a huge shout-out to Katie and her dad for one of the best choreographed father-daughter dances I’ve seen to date! They were hilarious and amazing, dancing definitely runs in that family ;)

We were so honored to be a part of this day <3 Keep scrolling to see some highlights!
