Dave + Mairin | Married
Dave and Mairin were married in a private ceremony in Pittsburg last fall, and they chose to celebrate with their friends and family here in their hometown of St. Louis this January. Willow is a brand new venue downtown, and served as the perfect location for the party. Michelle and the team at Absolutely In! Events did an amazing job of bringing Mairin and Dave's vision to life. The space was filled with cozy seating, industrial lighting, and lush greenery. We were blown away when we saw everything! But what we loved most about this celebration is that is was so full of joy, love, and laughter :)
Dave and Mairin, you have been an absolute pleasure to work with! We are so glad we met you both, and wish you every happiness in the years to come!!
Check out all of the wonderful vendors for this event!

Last month we had the pleasure of working with the incredibly sweet Ashley + Jimmy. We loved so much about their wedding day! The Boo Cat Club is such a lovely venue, and Ashley + Jimmy chose to keep things really simple by just walking around and taking photos around the venue. This is one of our favorite ways to take wedding party photos and couple’s portraits on a wedding day.
If I start talking about Lauren + Jeff, it’ll be hard for me to stop - there’s a good chance I could up writing a book on these two and their wedding day. So I will attempt to keep this short so you can get to the goods ;)
Lauren + Jeff are truly an amazing couple. I instantly connected with them the moment I met them last fall, and I knew that Forbis would love them too (he did). What makes them so special is that they are both just incredibly welcoming people. They have this ease and humor about them that makes you feel like you’ve known them forever.
Hello all! I wanted to share something I’ve been working on lately. Forbis and I don’t keep it a secret that we shoot a ton of images at any given wedding. We are serial overshooters and as much as we TRY to reel it in, we just kind of can’t. Like pretty much every other photographer these days, we don’t deliver all of the images we shoot.
Caity and Bennett found our work last year due to the wonderful and mysterious ways of the Internet. They contacted us for an engagement session only, which isn't totally rare, and we met and photographed them in the fall of 2017. Honestly, within minutes of meeting, I was pretty much obsessed with these two. They are hilarious, highly intelligent, adventurous, and just have very KIND souls…
When Annalise + Rob reached out to us to document their wedding in Vermont, we were absolutely ecstatic. For one, Rob and Annalise are an incredibly fun, hilarious, and sweet couple. And two, neither Forbis nor myself had ever been to that part of the country before and we love traveling to new places. It was a short 3 day trip for us - we flew into Boston and immediately made the 3 hour drive to the mountains of Vermont. We were blown away with how beautiful it is up there!
Hannah + Colin reside in St. Louis, but they chose to get married in Hannah's hometown of Wardsville, MO - just outside of Jefferson City. And not only that, but they also chose to have the reception in the backyard of the home where Hannah grew up...which happens to be on a gorgeous farm…
Working with Tim and Eric proved that it's totally possible to keep things simple and still have a truly amazing wedding. We loved the entire vibe of this day. ANEW is a gorgeous, modern, and understated venue that fit Tim and Eric's aesthetic perfectly. They chose to vamp up the space with candles and lots of greenery…
When Mike and Emily of Juniper Films got engaged, they decided pretty much immediately that they wanted to do a destination elopement. We had met them several months earlier while working a wedding together - us photo, them video - and we were honestly floored when they reached out asking if we would travel with them and document their wedding day…
Styled shoots can tend to get a bad rap from a lot of photographers. The argument is that they represent an unrealistic version of perfection. And I mean....I get it. Take a look at literally anything wedding-related on Pinterest or any given wedding blog and all you see are perfect images. This can contribute to setting up couples for unrealistic expectations of what their wedding day should look or be like. When really, there is actually no right or wrong way to throw a wedding, and it shouldn't have to fit into any kind of mold…
From my very first meeting with Libby and Vikas, I knew that their wedding was going to be amazing. It was our last wedding of 2017 and I looked forward to it all year! It did not disappoint. 2 ceremonies, tons of friends + family...it was a day filled with color, life, texture, tradition, symbolism, love, and dancing…
