Lauren + Jeff | Eclectic Chicago Wedding

If I start talking about Lauren + Jeff, it’ll be hard for me to stop - there’s a good chance I could end up writing a book on these two and their wedding day. So I will attempt to keep this short so you can get to the goods ;)

Lauren + Jeff are truly an amazing couple. I instantly connected with them the moment I met them last fall, and I knew that Forbis would love them too (he did). What makes them so special is that they are both just incredibly welcoming people. They have this ease and humor about them that makes you feel like you’ve known them forever. I had been looking forward to their wedding day for a long time, and let me just say that it did not disappoint.

The venue they chose was unlike any venue that I’ve seen before: a 4 story antique store with an atrium in the center for wedding ceremonies. Luft Balloon designed the most incredible, show-stopping balloon installation over the ceremony site. My jaw hit the floor when I walked in and saw it. I absolutely loved the styling of the entire day - hues of pale and hot pinks for the bride’s party, blue suits for the groom’s, bright tropical flowers, and palm leaves…the whole look felt eclectic yet modern, and seemed to fit Lauren and Jeff just perfectly.

We truly had such an awesome time not only because of this wonderful couple, but because of their friends and family as well. Everyone in the wedding party was hilarious, sweet, and laid-back and we really enjoyed feeling like part of family for the day ;)

Also, if you have a few minutes to spare, check out the video at the end! We’ve been trying out something new by compiling almost every image we shoot into a fast-moving slideshow. The videos end up pretty long (we shoot a TON), but we love the feel of them and think it’s pretty special to see the day in it’s entirety.

Okay enough from me, check out their amazing vendors below, and then scroll on to see the images and video!
