Intimate Irish Countryside Wedding
October 2025 | Glin, Co. Limerick, Ireland
Many couples dream of an international wedding. The reality is that most often, an international wedding requires a huge leap of faith that many people might not be comfortable with. Choosing a venue and vendors sight unseen isn’t for the faint of heart. But for Falon & Josh, their leap of faith paid off BIG. Their wedding weekend could not have been more magical, enchanting, or charming.
The festivities began with a welcome dinner at O’Shaughnessy Pub in the village of Glin - the small party in an even smaller private room where tables sat so close there was almost no room to walk. But with a chill in the air outside, tables piled with comforting food, and on such a festive occasion, the close quarters made the event even more cozy, memorable, a bit humorous. Guests then mingled with locals in the bar, where a group of old men loudly sang traditional songs while drinking pints of beer - does it even get more Irish than that?
The wedding took place the next day at Glin Castle - a gorgeous ivy-laden seaside building surrounded by lush green gardens. The bride & groom met at the dramatic back garden and we spent some time wandering the grounds and taking portraits before heading back indoors for their ceremony. After the vows, guests had cocktails and hors d'oeuvres before sitting down for an intimate dinner in the dining room, watched over by classic portraits as the sun set.
My time with Falon & Josh was so special and I’ll forever look back fondly on this wedding weekend. I fell head over heels with Ireland and wait patiently until the day I’m able to return.
